Rev. Thomas E. (Tom) Leverett 76, of LaFayette, Alabama died Tuesday July 14, 2020 at the East Alabama Medical Center.

Rev. Leverett was born in Troy, Alabama September 2, 1943 to the late Thomas Edgar Leverett and the late Jean Owen Leverett, he was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in LaFayette, a member of the LaFayette Rotary Club, and a member of the Solomon Lodge #74 F&AM in LaFayette. He was a retired Baptist Minister having served Churches in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana for over 25 years.

Graveside services will be held Friday July 17, 2020 at 4PM at the LaFayette City Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Ferguson officiating.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in LaFayette.

He is survived by his Wife Judy Leverett of LaFayette, Al., Son Lauren (Juli) Leverett of Little Rock, Ark., Sister Harriett (Allen) Jones of LaFayette, Al., Brother In Law James F. Adams, Sr., of Kershaw, SC., 3 Nephews James F. Adams, Jr. of Bloomington, Ind., Tom Adams of Mt. Holley, NC., David Jones of Birmingham,, Al.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and a Sister Martha Adams.
