Mr. Thomas Edward Prather, Jr. of LaFayette, Alabama went home to be with the Lord Thursday June 18, 2020.

Eddie was born May 29, 1942 in LaGrange, Georgia, he retired from the family grocery business in Marietta, Georgia and from Georgia Power Company. He was a member of the US Marine Corps Reserve and is of the Baptist Faith. He was a very active in Homeward Bound Pet Rescue and served as president for a number of years in Ellijay, Georgia. He moved to LaFayette over 7 years ago from Ellijay, Georgia.

He is survived by his Sister Virginia Prather Weldon (James) of LaFayette, Al. 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents Thomas Edward Prather, Sr. and Marion Virginia Wilson Prather and a Sister Marijayne Layne.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
