Mrs. Sylvia Sikes 84 of Lanett, Alabama died Monday November 13, 2017 at the EAMC Lanier Hospital. Graveside services will be held Thursday November 16, 2017 at 1:30PM (ET) 12:30PM (CT) at the Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett, Alabama with the Rev. Clinton Hadaway and the Rev. Jason Holloway officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11AM (ET)  10AM(CT) until 1PM (ET) 12 PM(CT)  prior to the graveside service. Mrs. Sikes was born in Chambers County August 1, 1933 to the late Horace Henderson Hudson and the late Lois Sims Hudson. She was a homemaker and attended the Fairfax Holiness Church.

She is survived by 3 children-Shirley Messer Kitchens, Jimmy Lee Messer, and Jerome Edward Messer. 3 grandchildren-Jessica Messer, Jason Holloway and Deborah Mitchell., 9 great grandchildren-Ian Renton, Lillian Messer, Nevaeh Messer, Jaden Messer, Cheyenne Messer, Bailey Wilkerson, Lola Grossman, Jason Holloway Jr., and Jacob Holloway. 1 great great grandson-Austyn Harmon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands-Jimmy Messer, Sr., and Roy Sikes, grandson-Eddie Joe Messer, and 3 sisters-Katrina Hudson, Ruby Dean Beach, and Maxine Hudson.
