Mrs. Sue Storey Smith 92, of LaFayette, Alabama died Monday August 26, 2019 at the Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Mrs. Smith was born in Blytheville, Arkansas February 17, 1927 to the late A. D. Newell and the late Irene Estis Newell, she was an active member of the First Baptist Church of LaFayette and was a homemaker, and also worked at the Tatum's Dry Goods Store in LaFayette.

She is survived by her Daughter Diana Nix of LaFayette, Al. Son Robert Lee Storey, Jr. of Fort Lauderdale,Fl. 10 Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Robert Lee Storey, Sr., Daughter Peggy Chapnick, and Son Daniel Edward Storey.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 7, 2019 at 1PM at the First Baptist Church in LaFayette with burial to follow at the LaFayette City Cemetery, with the Rev. Scott Ferguson officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 12 Noon until 1PM prior to the service.
