Mrs. Ruth Hinkle 98, of LaFayette, Alabama died Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the LaFayette Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church with a private burial to follow at the LaFayette City Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Ferguson and the Rev. Mike Campbell officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 AM until 11 AM prior to the service.

Mrs. Hinkle was born in Chambers County February 9, 1921 to the late Jesse C. Ragsdale and the late Effie Birchfield Ragsdale, she was an active member of the First Baptist Church in LaFayette, and retired from Billy Walton Law Office.

She is survived by her 2 Daughters Shelby (Robert) Lee of LaFayette, Al. Shirley (Nick) Koulianos of LaFayette, Al. 3 Grandchildren Michelle (Tony) Cooper of Spanish Fort, Al. Robin (Greg) Owings of Birmingham, Al. Rob (Katlin) Lee of LaFayette, Al. 4 Great Grandchildren Ross Cooper Lincoln Cooper Dylan Owings Hannah Owings She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Walter B. Hinkle, Son Bobby Joe Hinkle, Daughter In Law Addie Hinkle.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Compasses Hospice 4455 Highway 431 Roanoke, Alabama 36274 or to the First Baptist Church in LaFayette.
