Former Chambers County resident, Ronald E. Ray age 76 went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, on Saturday March 13, 2021 surrounded by his family. Ronnie was born in Troup County, Georgia on February 24, 1945 to Reuben and Lillian Ray. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Alice Faye Ray of Ooltewah, TN., 3 children Chris (Janet) Ray of Enterprise, Al., Cindy (Eric) Novelli of Ooltewah, TN., Charles (Stephanie) Ray of Ooltewah, TN., 9 grandchildren Darrell (Brianna) Keys and Austin (Megan) Ray, Elizabeth, Sam, Anna Maria and Aedan Novelli, Noel, Nicholas and Ryan Ray and 4 great grandchildren, 1 brother Roger (Ann) Ray of Hogansville, Ga., many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church in Ooltewah, TN.

Ronnie was a high school graduate of Lanett High School class of 1963. He worked for the Chambers County Forestry Commission for 32 years. After his retirement from the Forestry Commission he worked for the Chambers County Sheriff's Department for 8 years before retiring. Ronnie enjoyed going out on the lake fishing or singing and playing music with his guitar. He was a man of many jokes, he could always make you smile with his great sense of humor.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until12 Noon (CT) 11 AM until 1 PM (ET) prior to the graveside service.

Graveside services will be held Saturday March 20, 2021 at 12:30PM (CT) 1:30PM (ET) at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett, Alabama.
