Mr. Rod Pinkard 63 of Lanett, Alabama died Wednesday September 2, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday September 6, 2015 at 3PM (ET)  2PM (CT) at the Forest Home Christian Church on Co. Rd. 91 in Randolph County, Alabama with burial in the church cemetery, with the Rev. Joel Scott and the Rev. Howard Longshore officiating. Mr. Pinkard will lie in state at his home 1402 South 8th Street in Lanett, Alabama and the family will receive friends on Friday and Saturday at home.

He was born in Randolph County, Alabama July 4, 1952 to the late Leon Pinkard and the late Rachel Smith, he worked for West Point Stevens  as a supervisor for 30 years and was a member of the Davidson Baptist Church in West Point, Georgia.

Survivors are his wife of 25 years Jeanelle Pinkard of Lanett, Al., Children-Misti(Rev. Joel) Scott of LaGrange, Ga., Goose (Amber) Pinkard of Lanett, Al., Stephanie Pinkard of Denver, Co., Leighann Pinkard of California, Joseph Pinkard of California and Leanna Pinkard of Lanett, Al.sisters-Judy Pinkard of Roanoke, Al., Macy (Earl) Hall of Roanoke, Al., brothers-Rudolph (Patsy) Pinkard of Roanoke, Al., Larry (Doris) Pinkard of Ringold, Ga., brother in law-Gene Slaughter of Lanett, Al., 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by son-Shane Pinkard, brother-Buddy Pinkard, brother in law-Pee Wee Price and niece-Nicole Regan.
