Mrs. Resa Fant Ison 82, of LaFayette, Alabama died Friday April 17, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday April 19, 2015 at 2PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery, with Rev. Steve Powell officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 5PM until 7PM. Mrs. Resa Fant Ison 82, of LaFayette, Alabama died Friday April 17, 2015 at her residence.

She was born in Abanda, Alabama on January 19, 1933 to the late Olin Green Fant and the late Mary Jane Hall Fant. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Camp Hill, Alabama, and graduated from Auburn University and was a retired school teacher.

Survivors are her husband Render Ison of LaFayette, Al., 4 children Melanie (Kenny) Brown of LaFayette, Al., Anthony (Janet) Ison of LaFayette, Al., Chris (Joanna) Ison of LaFayette, Al., Jerome (Jerri) Ison of Wadley, Al., brother in law James (Linda) Lisenby of LaFayette, Al., sister in law Frances Fant of White Plains, Al.,7 grandchildren Tanya (Kevin) Boone, Matthew (Jacqueline) Brown, Brandon (Alaina) Ison, Brian (Gina Rutland) Brown, Carmen (Jonathan) Walker, LeAnna (Joey Gillenwaters) Ison & Lindsey Ison. 6 great grandchildren Bailea & Bryant Boone, Maison & Whitlee Walker, Lexie & Alivia Kepner.  Ion lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt.
