Mr. Ralph Monroe 103, of LaFayette, Alabama died Wednesday March 16, 2016 at the EAMC Lanier Hospital in Valley, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at the LaFayette Church Of Christ at 2PM on Saturday March 19, 2016 with burial in the LaFayette City Cemetery with Mr. Bobby Jones officiating. Mr. Monroe was born in Tallapoosa County,Alabama April 16, 1912, he was the son of the late John Robert Monroe and the late Katie Stewart Monroe, he was retired from the Singer Chevrolet Company as a mechanic after 35 years of service, and was very active in the LaFayette Church of Christ for 52 years.

Mr. Monroe was preceded in death by his wife of 79 years Kate Hall Monroe, son Jimmy Edward Monroe of Eufaula, Al., daughter Mary Gibson of LaFayette, Al., grandsons Jimmy Edward Monroe, Jr. of Eufaula, Al., and Earl Monroe of Eufaula, Al., and granddaughter Shelia Adams of LaFayette, Al.  He is survived by 3 granddaughters Sonja Wiseman of Lanett, Al., Rhonda Anemaet of LaFayette, Al., Nina Chapman of Eufaula, Al., 5 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchilden and a nephew Bill Monroe of LaFayette, Al.
