Peggy Teel Thompson, 79 years old, of Lafayette, Alabama passed away, Sunday, April 21, 2024, peacefully at home with her family.

Peggy was born in LaFayette on May 24, 1944, to the late Gay and Jewel Teel.

In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she will be remembered for her outgoing personality, her love for people, and her love for the Lord. She loved to make people smile. She touched so many lives during her time as the Activities Director at Twin Fountains Home in Lagrange GA.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 24 at 3:00 pm (CST) with the funeral at 4:00 pm (CST) at Shiloh Baptist Church in Wadley, AL with the pastor Chuck Goodwin officiating. Graveside service will follow at Penton Church of God in Penton, AL.

She is survived by her spouse, Paul Thompson of LaFayette, AL; son David Thompson (Laura) and daughter Natasha Meadors (Kevin). She has 5 grandsons, Joseph Olko (Emily) of Valley, AL, Joshua Thompson of O'Fallon, IL, Jordan Thompson of Valley, AL, Matthew Meadors (Laurel) of Lagrange, GA, and Jonathan Meadors (Taylor) of Lagrange, GA and 5 great grandchildren, Tank Thompson, Evelyn Olko, Elijah Olko, Jase Meadors and Cal Meadors.

She is preceded in death by Mr. and Mrs. Gay Teel (parents) and sisters Jo Dikes and Gaynell Strickland.
