Mr. P. W. Wood 78 of LaFayette, Alabama died Tuesday August 6, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Wood was born in Bauxite, Arkansas November 10, 1940 to the late Phillip Warren Wood, Sr. and the late Myrtice Juanita McCool Wood, he was a member of the Mars Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Bauxite, and retired from the US Navy after 27 years of service.

Graveside services will be held Friday August 9, 2019 at 3PM at the Community Baptist Church Cemetery in LaFayette with the Rev. Claude Bennett, the Rev. Jerome Winston and Pastor Charlie Wood officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 6PM until 8PM at the funeral home.

He is survived by his Wife Anne Wood, Children Katherine (Marion) Wood, Phillip (Melinda) Wood, Jewel Wood and Susan Allanson, Grandchildren Jessice Robinson, Michael Wilson, Samantha(Greg) Hunt, Darryl Dorminey, Daniel Dorminey, Alyssa Richard, Allison Hester, Sylvia Wood, Candace Wood, Cheyenne Wood & Kaleb Jones, one Sister Patricia Ledbetter, one Brother, Charlie (Sherry) Wood, and 9 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother Jerry and Son Michael.
