Mrs. Dee Sanders 75, of LaFayette, Alabama died Wednesday December 10, 2014 at the Bethany House Hospice. Funeral services will be held Tuesday Demember 16, 2014 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 2PM with burial in the church cemetery, with the Rev. Steve Powell officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 5PM until 7PM. Mrs. Sanders was born May 7, 1939 in Happy Texas.  She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Camp Hill, Alabama, and a sunday school teacher, and had worked for the T Mobile Telephone Company.

Survivors are her husband of 33 years Melton Lee Sanders Jr., of LaFayette, Al. 5 children-Deanna Howington of Denver, Col., Keith Howington of Denver, Col, Randall Sanders of Cusseta, Al., Alicia Wise of Roanoke, Al., Phillip Drew Sanders of Lake Martin., 2 sisters-Carolyn Sloan Thibault of Texas, Doreen Weidner of Oklahoma, 3 brothers-James Sloan of Houston,Tx., Harvey Sloan of Dallas, Tx., Andy Sloan of Amerillo, Tx. 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.  Was preceded in death by her son Kelly Howington, and 2 brothers George Sloan & Rocky Sloan.
