Mr. Maynard Edwin Young, Jr. of LaFayette, Alabama passed away on Monday April 24th at the age of 86. He was born on February 13, 1937 to parents Mr. Maynard Edwin Young, Sr. and Mrs. Mozelle Horton Young.

Mr. Young held an Industrial Management Degree from Georgia Tech. He had worked for both Lockheed Corporation and Martin Marietta for a time before branching out on his own as a builder and developer.

He built homes in Cherokee and Cobb counties (Georgia) for over 20 years and developed multiple subdivisions during this time.

After retiring from building Mr. Young moved to LaFayette where he attended and supported Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church in Stroud, Alabama as long as his health permitted.

He is survived by his children Mr, & Mrs. Bruce (Cheryl) Rogers, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard E. Young III (Tripp)

3 grandchildren Mr. and Mrs. Cameron (Ashley) Profitt, Andrew Young, Alexandra Young

Sister Mrs. Amelia Horton Young. He was preceded in death by his brother Mr. William Horton Young
