Mrs. Martha Thomas McRay 79, of LaFayette, Alabama died Thursday October 25, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday October 30, 2018 at 2:30PM (ET) at the Fairfax Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday October 29, 2018 from 5 PM until 8 PM (CT).

Mrs. McRay was born in Langdale, Alabama November 23, 1938 to the late A.C. Thomas and the late Lillian Miles Thomas, she was known as Mama, Me-Mama, Mop-Belle, and Ma-Hee, she retired from West Point Pepperell Riverdale Mill and Fairview Mill after Riverdale Mill shut down, she drove a school bus for Chambers County Schools from 1971 until 1976, owned and operated Riverview Sewing Shop with her best friend Dorothy Justiss, she was a wonderful seamstress sewing cheerleader uniforms for Valley Jr. and Valley High School, wedding dresses, men's leisure suits, uniforms & dress and casual clothes, she was a beautician along side Willie Lou Cline at Riverview Beauty Shop, part time event planner for West Point Pepperell Fairview camp with Bennie Jennings & Betty Ann Baker, last but not least full time Mother and MaMama. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Riverview, Alabama.

She is survived by her Daughter Lori McRay Daniel (Steve Calhoun) of LaFayette, Al.,Grandsons Kyle Lamar McRay (Mandy) of Valley, Al., James Myles McRay of Arizona, Garrett Scott Sanders (Megan) of Opelika, Al., Great Granddaughter Olivia Claire Sanders Nieces Valorie Davis Taylor, Lynn Chancey, Fran Davis Groover, Nephew Lane Chancy, Great Nieces Valorie Williams, Kin Kelley and lifelong friends Dorothy & Marc Justiss, Gail & Mickey Anthony, Elizabeth &Larry Hudson, Tommy Lou & Kenneth Hadaway and so many other friends.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Sisters Patricia Chancey, Barbara Hatchett, Son Thomas Lamar McRay and Niece LeAnn Chancey.
