Mrs. Margaret Hinz of LaFayette, Alabama died Wednesday November 18, 2015 at the East Alabama Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church at 10:30 AM on Saturday November 21, 2015 with burial in the LaFayette City Cemetery the Rev. Edward Groome officiating. Mrs. Hinz was born in Chambers County to the late Oscar Lee Shellnut and the late Lulu Gertrude Bradfield Shellnut and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in LaFayette and a retired school teacher.

She is survived by her niece Susan (Joseph) Shetina of Joliet, Ill., nephew  Bill (Sherry) Hinz of Birmingham, Al., dear friends Jane (Rickey) Elliott of LaFayette, Al., Richard (Emily) Elliott of Greenwood, Ms., Robert (Megan) Elliott of Opelika, Al., Titus, Jude, and Lillian Elliott of Opelika, Al., Jonathan (Bess) Elliott of Topsail, NC., Bill (Bonnie) Harmon of LaFayette, Al.,caregiver April Lockhart of LaFayette, Al.,  She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Hinz and her sister and brother in law Doris and John Watson Moore.
