Mrs. Maggie C. Smith, a former resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away after a short illness on September 27, 2018.

Visitation will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 6th, 2018 at the Pleasant Grove Church in Lafayette, Alabama. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am, with a graveside service arranged in Montgomery for the following day.

On Sunday, October 7th, 2018 at 2:00 pm, the graveside service will be held at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Al 36109. Reverend Floyd Carmack will give the service at Pleasant Grove, and Reverend Larry Armstrong will preside over the graveside service.

She was predeceased by her husband, B. Gene Smith, and survived by their two daughters, Gena Smith Miller and Twyla Smith Stamps-McGovern. Mrs. Smith is survived by her five grandchildren, several beloved great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Smith was a retired executive of Associates Finance Company, and a former member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund, and may be delivered to 4472 County Road 53, Lafayette, Alabama 36862.
