Mrs. LuAnne Newman McCarty 54, of LaFayette, Alabama died Friday October 20, 2017 at the East Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday October 22, 2017 at 2 PM at the Penton Church Of God with the Rev. Mike Campbell, the Rev. Dru Strickland and the Rev. Larry Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 5PM until 7PM. LuAnne was born in Chambers County October 22, 1962, she was a member of the Penton Church Of God, and a member of the Union Hill Fire Department, she shared the love of family, friends and living on the farm.

LuAnne is survived by her husband Stan McCarty of LaFayette, Al., 2 children Brittany (Andrew) Barber of Valley, Al., Samantha McCarty of Alexander City, Al., mother Cecelia Newman of LaFayette, Al., 2 sisters Marsha (Mark) Henderson of LaFayette, Al., Natalie (Rev. Dru) Strickland of Sardis, Al., 2 grandchildren Austin Barber and Ava Barber and one on the way. nieces & nephews Joshua Henderson, Jason (Heather) Henderson and their son Ethan, Holly Strickland & Ross Strickland, Kelly Webster, Michael (Christy) Newman, sister in law Elaine (Larry) Newman. She Was preceded in death by her father Clarence Newman.
