Mrs. Linda Lou Hanners Davis of LaFayette, Alabama passed away at 75 years of age, Thursday July 22, 2021 at East Alabama Medical Center. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 49 years Danny Joe Davis, children Wayne White (Wanda), Deanna Fuller (Brent), Kim Davidson (John), Denise Lamb (Jeff), Angela Scott (Mike), and Shannon Laney (Michele). She is also survived by her loving twin sister Brenda Sue Hanners Potts. Linda loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren deeply. Her grandchildren include Jonathan Thompson, Lindsey White, Taylor Lamb, Davis Lamb, Hank Scott, Danielle Scott, Alex Laney, Jenna Fuller, Lauren Fuller, Andy Davidson, and Anna Davidson and several great grandchildren.

Linda arrived in Fredonia, Alabama February 2, 1946 as the younger sibling of a set of twins girls born to the late D.P. Hanners and the late Pearl Hanners. With God's healing, Linda overcame meningitis when she was in the first grade after being in a coma nine days. Linda was the youngest of 5 children. All Siblings and parents are already in Heaven except Linda's twin Brenda who is left to treasure her memory.

Linda was known for her spunky attitude, love for fishing, gospel singing, scrolling Facebook to see the news, and keeping up with what was happening in LaFayette by listening to her police scanner. Linda was an avid weather watcher and would quickly let you know when it was going to "come up a cloud". Linda had several jobs during her lifetime, but her favorite job of all was babysitting her grandchildren. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and loved and served alongside her church family faithfully. She was fun to be around and a blessing to all who knew her. Linda's husband and family ask for your prayers currently and in the days ahead.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church in Wadley, Alabama Saturday July 24, 2021 at 3PM with the Rev. Chuck Goodwin and the Rev. Donald DeLee presiding with burial to follow at the LaFayette City Cemetery.

Visitation will precede the ceremony from 1PM until 3PM at the church.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Shiloh Baptist Church 6263 Co Rd 53 Wadley, Alabama 36276.
