Funeral services for Laura Wooddy Cotter of Auburn, Alabama will be Saturday November 22, 2014 at 2:30 PM at Jeff Jones Funeral Home in LaFayette , Alabama with the Revs. Greg Cotter and Jeff Redmond officiating. A private burial for the family will follow in the LaFayette City Cemetery. Mrs. Cotter was born in Chambers County, Alabama on July 25, 1919, and passed away on Saturday November 15, 2014 at the Bethany House Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. J.R. Wooddy, and her husband of 70 years, James O. Cotter.

Prior to moving to Auburn, Alabama in 1997, she and her husband resided in Mobile, Alabama, for approximately 50 years.  They were active members of Dauphin Way Baptist Church where she taught a young women's Sunday School Class for many years.  After moving to Auburn they became members of Parkway Baptist Church where she was the oldest member of the church at the time of her death.

She is survived by one sister in law Mrs. Robert Wooddy of Hendersonville, Tn. and numerous nieces and nephews.
