Mr. John Michael Holmes 68, of Tallassee, Alabama died Thursday August 13, 2015 at his residence. Graveside services will be held Friday August 21, 2015 at 1PM at the LaFayette City Cemetery with Rev. Paul Howard officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 12 Noon until 1PM prior to the graveside.

Mr. John Michael Holmes 68, of Tallassee, Alabama died Thursday August 13, 2015 at his residence.  He was born in Chambers County January 7, 1947 to the late Charles Nolan Holmes and the late Claudie Cox Holmes, he graduated from LaFayette High School in 1965 and graduated from Troy State University and worked as a Certified Public Accountant.

He was preceded in death by his sister Hope (Kitty) Clanton, and brothers Henton Holmes, Hoyt Holmes, and Maynard Holmes.  Survivors are his sister Helen Holmes Slaughter of Americus,  Ga. and 10 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
