Mr. John Palmer Allen, 92 of Dudleyville, Alabama died Sunday February 26, 2017 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama. Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 28, 2017 at 11AM at the County Line Baptist Church with burial at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday February 27, 2017 at the County Line Baptist Church 5232 Co Rd 51 in the Dudleyville Community from 5PM until 7PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to County Line Baptist Church c/o Joette Williams  1504 Co Rd 107 LaFayette, Alabama  36862.

Mr. Allen was a dedicated Christian. He was a member of the County Line Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Director, R.A. Leader, and any other ways he could be of service. He was a carpenter building houses with his father, his brother and the his three sons. He was an avid gardener, planting and maintaining a large garden at the age of 92.

He is survived by his wife of 75 years Dot Andrews Allen, 5 children-Dianne Lee (Jimmy), Jimmy Allen (Martha), Elaine Bartlett (Wayne), Johnny Allen (Sue), Gerald Allen (Kay), 12 grandchildren  22 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Zeddie And Lura Earl Allen, 2 brothers Henry Allen and Elmer Allen, and granddaughter Tanya Allen McAlister.
