Mr. (Ronald) Smith 72, of Valley, Alabama died Saturday July 4, 2015 at the EAMC Lanier Hospital after a hard fought battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Bridge Church with Pastor Bill Bryan officiating. Mr. Smith was born January 20, 1943 in LaFayette, Alabama to the late Hardy Smith and the late Lillian Sanders Smith, he was retired from West point Pepperell.

Survivors are his wife Donna Smith of Valley, Al., 5 Children Ronnie Smith, Jr. of Florida, Ronnie Smith,III, Louisiana, Tonya Tankersley of Opelika, Al., Steve Parmelee of Valley, Al., Cindy Radka of Pennyan, NY., uncle Talmadge (Mary) Sanders of Opelika, Al., mother  in law Katie Mueller of Mellow Valley, Al., 8 grandchildren,  5 great grandchildren.
