Mr. George Hancock 59, of Roanoke, Alabama died Monday June 8, 2015 at the Wedowee Hospital. Graveside services will be held Thursday June 11, 2015 at the Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery in the Union Hill Community of LaFayette at 2PM with the Rev. Floyd Aikens officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery, no visitation at the funeral home.

Mr. Hancock was born May 10, 1956 in Notasulga, Alabama to the late George Cleveland Hancock, Sr. and the late Alice Moses Hancock, he was retired from the Chambers County School System as a teacher and a basketball coach.

Survivors are his wife Jeannie Hancock of Roanoke, Al., 2 sons Jamie (Valalena) Hancock of Valley, Al., Cleve Hancock of Roanoke, Al., daughter Makayla Looser of Wadley, Al., brother Joe (Karen) Hancock of Lancaster, Pa., 3 grandsons Jaxon, Jadin & Jace Hancock of Valley, Al., uncle Pat (Cynthia) Hancock, Sr of Mobile, Al., aunt Atha Sue Neas of Kansas, nephews A.J. Hancock of Lancaster, Pa., Pat (Lynn) Hancock, Jr., of Mobile, Al., niece Jamie Hancock of Mobile, Al., great niece Natalie Hancock of Mobile, Al., great nephews Brian & Ethan Hancock of Mobile, Al
