Mr. Edward Hurst 78, Of LaFayette, Alabama died Wednesday October 19, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday October 22, 2016 at 11AM at the LaFayette Heights Baptist Church with burial in the LaFayette City Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Howard officiating. Mr. Hurst was born in Chambers County September 9, 1938 to the late James Homer Hurst and the late Sara Annie Lauderdale Hurst, he was a member of the LaFayette Heights Baptist Church and was a retired textile employee.

He is survived by his wife Marie Hurst, 3 children Tony Ray (Dana) Hurst, Angie (Randy) Osborne, Lisa (Keith) Bassett, daughter in law Valerie Hurst, sister Peggy Blanton, 2 brothers Pete Hurst and Larry (Cindy) Hurst, 8 grandchildren Magan (Phil) King, Justin (Heather) Hurst, Robbie (Lauren) Osborne, Timmy Osborne, Noah (Erin) Hurst, Dennis Osborne, Ryan & Brad Hurst. 10 great grandchildren Kirsten Osborne, Eli Osborne, Kendal King, Layken Taylor, Emmanuel Osborne, Whitley Osborne, Louella Osborne, Sadie Hurst, Ian Hurst & Mia Hurst. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Charles Edward Hurst and sister JoAnn Hunt.
