Mr. Earnest E. "Jack" Turner, age 90 of Huguley, Alabama passed away peacefully in his sleep at Bethany House of Auburn May 21st, 2016. Memorial services for Mr. Turner will be conducted on Tuesday May 24th at 11:00 am at Johnson Brown Service Funeral Home in Valley, AL, with Evangelist David Copeland officiating. Burial services will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be from 10 am to 11:00 am immediately before the memorial service.

Mr. Turner was born on March 12, 1926, the son of the late Hanley Carl Turner and Lola Sara Turner Davis.

He twice served his country honorably in the United States Army where he served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was awarded two purple hearts, a silver star, and a bronze star, along with many other medals. He had a tremendous work ethic and was an union Iron worker most of his life and had worked on many major structures in the eastern U.S. He was very good with his hands and was known by most as “Jack” of all trades. In retirement he enjoyed working in the garden and growing flowers along side of his soul-mate and loving wife “Dot” Doris of 33 years. They were married in Walhalla, SC on December 5, 1981.

Among his many wonderful qualities, he loved his family, and enjoyed the many family get togethers over the years. He loved fishing, watching Nascar, the Atlanta Braves and was dedicated to the Fox News broadcast. His favorite places of worship were Evangel Temple and The Bridge Church. He was dearly loved by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughter and son in-law Susie and Greg Asbell Huguley AL., daughter Cynthia (Thomas) McCullough of Conshohocken Pennsylvania. Son; Earnest Turner Jr. of Atlanta GA., Brother; Joseph Ronald Davis, of Luthersville GA; 11 grandchildren, April Barber, David Asbell, Brandi Lowery, Stephanie Morgan, Bubba Arrington, Dee Dee Murdock, Hunter Gauntt, Rob Gauntt, Jacob Gauntt, Jason Gauntt, Josh Gauntt, and 21 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granchild, a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.

Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his wife; Doris Turner, Brothers; James Harold Turner, and Herbert Davis, Son; Ronald Gauntt.
