Mrs. Doris (Dot) East 88 of Theodore, Alabama formerly of LaFayette died Thursday, February 11, 2021 at her residence.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 2PM at the LaFayette City Cemetery with the Rev. Russell Williams officiating.

Mrs. East was born in Jemison, Alabama September 23, 1932 to the late Henry Davenport and the late Esther Atkinson Davenport, she was a member of the First Methodist Church of LaFayette, and retired from the Chambers County Board Of Education central office after 30 years of service.

She is survived by her Daughter Lisa East of Daphne, Al., 1 Sister Faye Porter of Jemison, Al., 2 Brothers Grady Davenport of Helena, Al., James (Joann) Davenport of Montevallo, Al., 3 Grandchildren Emily (Matt) Beckley of Huntsville, Al., Andrew (Kelly) East of Huntsville, Al., Christopher (Megan) East of Greeley, Col., 4 Great Grandchildren Ben, Kate Eckley of Huntsville, Al., Perry, Clara East of Huntsville, Al., 2 Daughters in Law Anne East of Huntsville, Al., Amanda East of Thomasville, Al.,

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Larry East, 2 Sons Gary East and Randall East, Brothers Leonard Davenport, William Earl Davenport, Charles Willard Davenport and Richard Leon Davenport,
