Donnie Hugh Strickland Jr. 59 of Valley, AL died Saturday February 6, 2021 in Lee County Alabama.

Donnie was born May 20, 1961 in Brevard, NC to Donnie and Barbara Strickland.

He is survived by daughter Emily Strickland (Caleb) of Phenix City, AL and step-children Richard Scott (Karlettia) of Columbus, GA and Jessica James (Curtis) of Spanaway, Washington, siblings Norman Strickland (Bill) of Las Vegas, NV, Darryell Strickland (Dawn) of Las Vegas, NV, Debbie Chism (Jimmy) of Opelika, AL, and Darron Strickland (Brandy) of Opelika, Al, and grandchildren Savannah, Karen, Katie, and Julie James, along with very special nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, son LCpl Jeffrey Brandon Strickland USMC, and sister Deirdra Strickland Odeneal.

He was a carpenter by trade and loved to spend time fishing and hunting.

Private family service will be held at a later date. Jeff Jones Funeral Home LaFayette, Al is handling the arrangements.
