Mr. Dawson Day 90, of Five Points, Alabama died Tuesday July 7, 2015 at the EAMC Lanier Hospital. Funeral services will be held at the Five Points Baptist Church Saturday July 11, 2015 at 11AM with burial in the Five Points Belcher Cemetery with Dr. Wayne Swindall officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10AM until service time prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Mr. Day was born December 22, 1924 in Chambers County to the late Sam Day and the late Clara Howell Day, he served in the US Army during WW2.  He was a member and Deacon of the Five Points Baptist Church, he was a life long dairy & beef farmer, was a board member of the old Chambers County Hospital, board member of the Chambers County Museum, and a soil conservationist, and was active with Chattahoochee Hospice.

Survivors are his 3 children Harrell (Karen) Day of Pelham, Al., Phyllis (Tom) Davis of Birmingham, Al., Susan (John) Dement of Boydton, Va., 4 grandchildren  4 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife Leita Holderfield Day.
