Cord Dodgen 23, of LaFayette, Alabama died Tuesday May 19, 2020 at his residence.

He was born in Lee County, Alabama May 29, 1996, he was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Camp Hill, Alabama, and was employed as a crew foreman with his father at the Bodine Dodgen Logging Company.

Graveside services will be held Sunday May 24th, 2020 at 2PM at the Penton Church Of God Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Powell, the Rev. Tim Whaley and the Rev. Jerry Wheelis officiating.

He is survived by his Parents Jeffrey "Bodine" (Danita) Dodgen of LaFayette, Al., Brother Trent Dodgen of LaFayette, Al., Grandmother Zelma Dodgen of LaFayette, Al., Uncle Randy Dodgen & Family of LaFayette, Al., other family members Nick & Kira Dodgen & Family, Jeff Abney & Family, David Abney & Family, God Parents Chris (Joanna) Ison & Family, Jasper (Thelma) Sanders & Family, Mama G and the late Garlon Gore, Extended family Bill & Debbie Edge, Chase (Blaire) Edge, Todd (Ali) Morrow, and many other special friends and his Dog Loretta Louise.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Alfred "Sonny" and Betty Abney, Grandfather Paul Dodgen.
