Mrs. Carolyn Gillenwaters 84, of LaFayette, Alabama died Saturday September 8, 2018 at her residence.

Graveside services will be held Monday September 10, 2018 at 11:30 AM at the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Randall Hamer and Mr. James Kendrick officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 10AM until 11AM prior to the graveside.

Mrs. Gillenwaters was born in Chambers County, Alabama February 12, 1934 to the late Marcus Smith and the late Gertrude Kendrick Smith, she was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church and had worked 21 years at Playtex and 6 years at Russell Corp. both of LaFayette before retirement.

She is survived by 3 children Mark (Kay) Gillenwaters of Camp Hill, Al., Vickie (Scooter) Pattillo of LaFayette, Al., Wayne (Sandra) Gillenwaters of LaFayette, Al., a cousin like a brother James Kendrick of Wedowee,Al. 7 Grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Buddy Gillenwaters.
