Mr. Allen Powers 85, of LaFayette, Alabama died Saturday February 27, 2016 at his residence. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 5PM until 7PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 1, 2016 at 2PM at the Rock Springs Baptist Church with burial in the LaFayette City Cemetery with the Rev. James Caulfield officiating. Mr. Powers was born February 24, 1931 in Ridge Grove, Alabama to the late Lon Powers and the late Goldie Smith Powers, he served in the US Marines from May 1, 1952 until May 1, 1954, he was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church and retired from Tallapoosa River Electric CoOperative after 43 years of service, and was an avid hunter.

Survivors are his wife-Dorothy Tucker Powers, 2 sons-Art (Pam) Powers and Brad Powers, 2 sisters-Dolly Williamson and Doris Lee, brother-Leon (Jean) Powers, grandchildren-Jeremy Powers, Jessica Powers and Payton Powers, great grandchild-Blakely Jenkins.
